Dampak Pengangguran dan Pembangunan Manusia terhadap Produk Domestik Regional Bruto di Provinsi Jambi
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of Unemployment Rate (JP) and Human Development Index (HDI) on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in Jambi Province during the period 2014–2023. The research applies a quantitative approach using panel data regression analysis with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The data used are secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Jambi Province. The results indicate that, simultaneously, unemployment and HDI significantly affect GRDP with Prob(F-statistic) = 0.000000 < 0.05. Partially, the unemployment variable shows Prob = 0.3419 > 0.05, indicating no significant effect on GRDP. Conversely, the HDI variable shows Prob = 0.0001 < 0.05, meaning it has a positive and significant effect on GRDP. The Adjusted R-squared value of 0.946181 indicates that 94.6% of GRDP variation can be explained by the two independent variables, while the remaining 5.4% is influenced by other factors outside the model. The findings highlight that improving human quality through HDI is a key driver of regional economic growth, whereas unemployment has not yet shown a significant direct effect on GRDP.
