Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of the Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) and inflation on economic growth in Jambi Province during the period 2013–2022. Economic growth is a key indicator of regional development success as it reflects the increase in production capacity of goods and services that improve community welfare. The LFPR represents the contribution of the working-age population to economic activities, while inflation reflects price stability that affects purchasing power and production performance. The research employs a quantitative descriptive approach using secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and Bank Indonesia. The analytical method used is Multiple Linear Regression Analysis, including t-test, F-test, and Coefficient of Determination (R²), processed using SPSS software. The results indicate that both LFPR and inflation simultaneously have no significant effect on economic growth in Jambi Province, with an F-value of 1.149 and a significance level of 0.370. Partially, the LFPR shows a negative and insignificant relationship (Sig. 0.843), while inflation has a positive but insignificant impact (Sig. 0.385). The Adjusted R² value of 0.032 implies that LFPR and inflation explain only 3.2% of the variation in economic growth, while the remaining 96.8% is influenced by other factors beyond the model. These findings suggest that economic growth in Jambi Province is more influenced by external factors such as investment, government policies, and the performance of industrial and trade sectors. Therefore, local economic policies should focus on improving labor productivity and maintaining inflation stability to achieve sustainable economic growth.
