Abstract
Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in driving Indonesia’s national economy but continue to face challenges in implementing effective performance management systems. This study aims to analyze the implementation of performance management at Nirmala F.N.B MSME in Trenggalek Regency, East Java, focusing on five key indicators: clarity, challenge, commitment, feedback, and task complexity as proposed by Wardhana et al. (2023). The research employed a qualitative approach through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation analysis. The findings reveal that the enterprise has progressively applied performance management principles through clear goal-setting, open communication, and regular evaluation. Despite constraints such as limited raw material supply and unequal digital skills among employees, the system has effectively enhanced productivity, work efficiency, and employee motivation. Consistent implementation of performance management is vital in fostering a collaborative and sustainable work culture within small-scale enterprises.
